first of all i love this show, and i watch it every time it comes on. i agree that the quality has declined this season but one thing that annoys me here is that people keep whining about the lapdance scene... come on people it was2008!!! come out from the middle ages and stop freakin whining about stuff that dont matter!!! that episode was one of the funniest this season. but back to the season. i agree that Alan and Jake should be brought back into the show a little more. i dont want this show to be cancelled and there is still a whole lot of great stuff that can be done with it. One idea i have is to make an episode in a "twilight zone style" where Alan is like Charlie and Jake is smart or something like that. the worst thing about this season is that Charlie has become such an insecure looser. i think we all loved the good old confident Charlie. Alan is no longer focused on at all. i think he should move on a little from Judith and get out there and do something, Alan style . and the part about giving Jake a girlfriend is also a great idea. there is a whole lot of stuff that can happen there. another idea i think is pretty good for a few episodes is this: Carlie suddently gets a wisit from a long lost son who is about 22 years old, and iswery muchlike him, so Charlie gets a little competition. there is a lot of good ideas for the show yet so please writers, open your minds a little and start thinking about what you write again.

Actually, I disagree. I'm loving this season, it's as funny as ever. Kudos to Chuck Lorre on the vanity plate about the parent group whiners. Parents need to police their own kids or don't have them. I like on the edge, funny tv. Don't stop!

Suggestions for new show ideas. You reallyneed them. I think that Charlie is looking worn and tired. Try tomake him more upbeat and doing more things like surfing or walking on the beach enjoying his life. Give him a job in a band as either in a wedding band or in a bar band. He would fit in there and the things he could do there would be so funny. Put rose in competition with another stalker and bring her more into his life. Have Charlie go into roses house and show us her world and what she does on a daily basis. Have Charlie go along with her on a day of her life because he is bored and have him try to help her see her crazyness. As he is shown his own craziness. Have rose show him where he is not all there too. May be fun to see them analyze eachother and find they are not that different. Jake should get a girlfriend who is roses younger sister and is alot like rose and let him experience his first real kiss and add a econd girl who he has to choose crazy and fun or stable and cute. Might be fun. Show Jake at school in his element and show his daily stuggles. No drugs, just him trying to understand what he is learning. Have a guidance counselor test him and find he could be the next President, aLeader or even an astronaut. It would be funny. Alanneeds to bemore manly andshow him trying to fix a car because he is having hardtimes or even getting into watching sports. That would be funny and unexpected. Have berta getbring men she is dating into the fold. Someonewho is stable and verygood looking. Shock the audience. Havehiminfer to how much of a great lover she is. Maybe John O'Hurley from the Family Feud. He is classy, odd and would make a great guy to compete against Charlie. Make them both the same and keep him in the show as Bertas squeeze and have him help berta clean the house dockers pants rolled up, dress shirt and barfoot trampling around in the house. This would funny as hell. Just some suggestions hope they help.

Have him flirting with Charlies women, but haveBarta keep him in line with the threat of no kinky sex. That would funny as hell. Just some suggestions hope they help.

New to posting...first time. I have to agree with the "not as funny" posts. Hubby & I noticed it after the writer's strike, and it just hasn't come back from that. We watch the reruns, 2 a day, and sometimes, Monday nite is a let-down. I realize it's hard with a kid that's growing, but agree with everyone that Jake needs to evolve. We always said that it was so perfectly written, and wouldn't be the same without any one character. They need Rose back. They need more of Berta. I love how they make her seem like a lower working class at times, and yet, make her quite intelligent. I have 2 all-time favorite episodes, and neither are this year. One is Evelyin getting the fat from her **** put in her lips ("take care of your mother" , and the other is "Why didn't you just call THEGUY??" My heart broke when Rose left, & it sounds like it was her idea, but now that her new sit-com didn't pan out, the people would love to have her back! I would have to decapitate someone if they ever take this off the air...let's follow Jake through college....(yeah, right...ok, vocational school). But, I'm not sure I like the "Charlie settling down" road they are on right now. I know we all grow up, but not Charlie, please! Maybe a different type of evolution, because if he would settle down, Alan & Jake would HAVEto move out, and that would be the end of the show. It just hasn't been the same for awhile, but taking it off the air would NOTbe the answer. The writers just need to watch past years to remind themselves how funny it can be. I'm not sure why some continuations of story lines work (like the Courtney and Teddy thing, or the Mia thing), and some don't (like this Chelsea ordeal). I don't know....we all need to laugh, and Monday night is my Laugh Time.....I just need to laugh harder at my favorite show.

That's right about the writing. And I don't want to see Mia back! Bring back Rose and Candy! And write comedy. The show is losing its comedy.

I was just reading a post that talks about people being upset with the lap dance episode. Are you kidding me??? I got my mother, who is 70 to start watching the reruns first, and now she stays up on Monday nights to watch the new season. She got my grandmother, who is 93, hooked on it. They love ALL the episodes! Now, if seniors can get into it and think it's funny, why are younger people complaining? TV is TV.....you have a remote. If I don't like something that is on, I change the channel. I realize people have different ideas of what is humorous, and that's fine. But life is too short to complain about stuff.....just turn something on that you don't want to complain about. "Nuff said!
