Without a Trace

So why wasn't it subtle? I didn't see any leering at each other, no kissing or fondling in the elevator. They were talking like friends, which they are. And don't start on the web cam. Jack just looked for a few seconds at Sam and the baby, then turned it off and walked away. If you remember from early in the episode, Danny was looking at the web cam before Sam walked up to the desk. Did you consider that creepy? I didn't. Just an interest in looking at their friend's baby in his crib.

It's the old 'If you're looking for it -it's there; if you're not, you won't find it.' The first two episodes were full of J/S signs, and for that, I am happy. And now ALP's grown his hair out, he'll look even better in the later epis, too!

IMO it was far too subtle, but then I am a J/S shipper . I hope we see some "closeness" soon. Hopefully it is looking good though.

I really hope the writers take the time to show Jack and Sam rebuilding their friendship first before just tossing them into bed together. I'm all for instant gratification, but I also want to see them progress into a true relationship. We've all seen that it's more than just sex between Jack and Sam. There's an intimacy there which goes beyond that. These two were comfortable just being together (remember the "crosswrod puzzle in bed on a rainy day scene?") and I want to see them reclaim that before moving forward.

ITA with you. With Jack and Sam I think we always knew their relationship was more than just sex. Their lingering glances, personal conversations and just general comfortableness (is that a word ?) with each other has proved that. We didn't need a sex scene to tell us that they loved and respected each other and they have to regain that before they can move on.

I think that 'comfortableness' was shown in 7x02 when Jack teased her about caffeine in the elevator scene and when he confided in Sam about his job offer. He was also careful that no one else was within listening distance when he discussed it with her later. She's the one he trusts. They're friends, and I'm hoping that they will once again be lovers.

Jack and Sam only had one scene together (I think) in 7 x 03 and whilst I don't necessarily want to see J/S scentric scenes all the time I do hope we get a bit more about their (hopefully) developing relationship in the next episode.

I just watched the episode, and I enjoyed it. I liked having Jack coming up with the big leads and he eventually located the MP based on his excellent profiling skills. I wonder if he considers reconciling with his daughters, since it seems to be a recurring theme.I'm not too worried about not having seen much of J/S moments, because I'm betting they must be spending their time together in a discreet matter. IMO I did notice Sam's lingering look she gave him when talking about the case.

There was some major shippiness in last night's episode with major eye sex and flirty banter. Get together already, you know you want to.
